This breaks the classic healthcare insurance racket of risk & cost shifting. (Imagine that!) This new bureaucracy will be pretty complex and will take time to get up & running more efficiently, but having been in private health insurance bureaucracies, it certainly can't be any worse, or inefficient, than what already exists! As for government bureaucracies, I think Americans have a right to expect & demand efficient government. The State of Utah has taken on the task of making government more responsive & efficient... and you know what? It's actually working. |

Why can't it get worse? Given our experience with the federal government, it is very likely that it would be significantly worse.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!! Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |
