I loved the shot of President Palmer sitting in the chair, under arrest. Head tilted slightly, both arms on armrests. Homage to Lincoln Memorial.

Then there was the part where Palmer tells Mike Novik. "I appreciate you calling CTU in the 11th hour. But I expected you to be with me to the end."

I almost cried right there. An allusion to Christ and Peter.

In some ways I think Palmer is a more interesting character than Jack.
