Default Question for my older friends

Creekster, Jeff etc..

When I was about 10 years old there was a band that got some radio play called the Allan Parsons Project. There was one song in particular that I really liked, but I was 10 so what did I know. The only time I've ever even heard the band mentioned since I was 10 was when Mike Meyers referenced them in Austin Powers. Was this band any good? Or should I be embarrassed for admitting to liking one of their tunes?
