CRAP! There goes my chances of a ride today...

I was all ready to go for a nice long spin at about 8:00... Then Mrs. Hippie got a call from a guy in the ward who needed "emergency" help with his kids. Apparently their babysitter fell thru and he needed to be at the school ASAP for orientation (he's a new law student).

So now Mrs. Hippie has promised to babysit until around noon.

As I slowly inch my way toward the bike gear I feel the pain of a billion little knives in the back of my head... I turn as Mrs. Hippie asks... are you still going for your ride?

Fortunately I didn't have to answer that question... "Can't you go later today after their Mom comes and gets them?"

So I end up babysitting all morning.

Then Mrs. Hippie informs me that the missionaries are coming over for lunch. I KNOW I can't skip that one so now I'm stuck in the house until at least 2:30.

The missionaries leave, I run a quick errand w/ Mrs. Hippie and rush home to get ready and hop on the bike...

The NWS has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area. The wind is blowing pretty freakin' hard and according to the sattelite images I'm pretty much SOL.

Damn that woman...
