He did the same thing with his recent opponents. It's all about attacking and deflecting.

It's like a boxer using a jab to prevent his opponent from taking hits.

The more Perry attacks, the focus goes away from his weaknesses -- i.e. that he is stupid beyond belief.

This is Perry's version of retail politics. Dirty and crass.
