The church has changed its advice for food storage
They now are recommending that the first step is to have a 3 month supply of the food you normally eat.
And then after that, buying staples such as wheat and beans. They also make the point that staples, if properly stored can last much longer than previously thought. Wheat, 30+ years, for example (if not forever). Hence the need for rotation is not as important, if important at all. Buy and forget, should you wish. (from the March 2009 Ensign magazine) |
