why would he need a new rim and hub? in my book, if you buying new rim, hub, and spokes, you are buying a new wheel.

I just don't understand paying someone $100-150 to fix a $50 wheel.

Here is a wheel for $65 (I don't know the weight limits if any).

Just the parts will be more than $25 to replace the spokes. Plus labor?

If I had expensive wheels with bladed spokes, maybe a different story.
