Regarding Mitt, we had two folks here who worked with him during the Olympics. In terms of elitism, how many folks do you work with who aren't elitist, to some extent or another? Unless you drive trucks or work in a bakery, you're striving to become elite, that's the American ambition.

For that matter, a huge chunk of the LDS world is striving to become an LDS elite, ala big house on the hill, leadership increasingly vertical in the hierarchy, be one of the "select", have your kids have multiple high-society spousal options, go to BYU, earn millions, etc.

That's elitism, ain't it?
