Actually it is boy scout rules that do not allow boys and adults to sleep together.

I'm not sure about church rules on a non-scouting campout. But even in that case, I wouldn't do it.

I tend to get most of my stuff with coupons at REI (reioutlet.com), also sierratradingpost.com. They seem to have 20% coupons all the time.

A 2 man backpacking tent will only fit one person. And no gear.
