Our school district's latest grading policy

Is this the standard policy now? Times have changed since I was in middle school/high school.

- Chance to make up late homework (not illness related, just if you didn't do it)
- Retest any failed test and the highest grade counts
- Homework grade is only given if it helps the child's average
- 50 is the lowest grade given for a 6 weeks average
- No penalties for missing deadlines
