Demand for gas is actually DOWN in the US.
Chrysler, GM, Ford moving rapidly towards extinction as people stop buying big SUVs and trucks. Of course these companies can't build decent cars, have fought all green-type improvements, and are against the raising of CAFE standards. Americans forced to go green. This is the equivalent to the gas tax that many had proposed to force conservation, like many countries do. Cities that didn't put in rail and tram now being punished. For example the suburban cities in DFW that voted against public transport are now going to be in big trouble, IMO. Huge mistake. |
