What is everyone listening to musicwise?
I'm always up for suggestions,
5 artists I've been listening to lately : Leonard Cohen, I never paid much attention to his work before but his broodingly melodic ballads are amazing. Steve Earle, I never get tired of his stuff. Honest, straight-ahead and cynical folk-country. He knows how to string together an entire album. Filthy Thieving Bastards, bluegrass/punk/folk/pop. This band is made up of members of the Swingin' Utters and Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies. Their stuff is just plain fun and refreshingly original. Leatherface, Crunchy cigarette soaked vocals give them a distinctive Motorhead/Tom Waits anti-melodic deconstructive feel. J Church, from the punk rock fertile Bay Area, these guys are more pop than punk, but I dig their super political lyricism and easily accessed sound. |

I am going "old school" this week and have been listening to the The Platters and Bill Withers.
Also, I found Hindi Thriller on Youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=LbvP7dT3Dx0 -- AND, turns out there's a Huey Lewis special on PBS tonight. Woo hoo! What luck! Last edited by BarbaraGordon; 06-02-2007 at 02:07 AM. |

Well, because I'm a close minded music listener, I listen to nothing but Sirius First Wave.
