Default Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize

The guy is just amazing. Law editor at Harvard. Two memoirs he has written. What can this guy not do?

I actually laughed out loud when I saw that this morning. Here, when I thought the award had reached its nadir of irrelevance, the Norwegians found a way to make it even worse.

I'm eager to hear Cali or Chino make an attempt to defend this, if they dare.

Plenty of dems are defending this. As saying it is the Nobel committee's attempt to encourage other world players to engage in "peace" like Obama is.

Sort of like the kind of competitions where there is no first place, just participation trophies.

When I saw the headline, I thought it was a joke. As in, looking for the Onion http address.

Nobel Peace Prize once named a terrorist as its winner. Nuf said. Plus what has Obama done?

Has he negotiated peace between two warring factions? Has he ended terrorism? The US involvement in any conflict?

So now you get a Peace Prize for doing nothing and being popular? Kinda devalues an already meaningless award. The awards for medicine or science still mean something.

FWIW the deadline for nominations was way back on Feb 1. So yes, Obama's award was based entirely on his campaign rallying cry.

It feels roughly as authentic as the BCS trophy.

Wow, I didn't realize that. So just his popular appeal to Europeans won him this financially lucrative but otherwise meaningless award. He's in good company with Yasser Arafat. They make a great pair.

I'm a supporter, but this feels surreal. He's involved in two different ground wars, as the CIC. I don't get the award anymore.

In a tight race, Obama narrowly edged Kim Jong-Il and Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad.

Those of us that are critical of this award to Obama have now thrown in our our lot with the terrorists. Says the DNC.

Oh well. Apropos to my avatar, I suppose.

And when whacko Republicans used that line against Obama, that was out of line.

I guess the taglines just switch places.
