Say what you want about American Idol, but...
It is pretty impressive that during the year, American Idol had the following people perform:
Prince Live Mary J Blige Queen Meatloaf--holy crap, I had no idea he was still around Shakira Wyclef Jean the Gambler Yeah, a lot of them are over the hill, but none of these guys would have shown up during the first season of Idol. Funny how the biggest star ever from Idol, Kelly Clarkson, never showed her face during the entire competition. And fwiw, when we found out that there was going to be a show like the british version Pop Idol, here in the states...my wife and I laughed and said how it would never work over in the states. Yep, I probably would have lost my job if tv people listened to me. Last edited by UteStar; 05-25-2006 at 01:43 PM. |

Prince was awesome last night.....
As a person who has gone to a ton of concerts, I can say without a shadow of a doubt, Prince was by far the best show..... |

who won? I have only watched 2 episodes in my life, and that was probably the first or second season.
I saw that there was a dorky guy and a hot chick. |

I have not seen Prince in concert, but I have no doubt that he would put on a good show. In fact my wife said, 'watching Prince again kinda makes me want to get one of his old records.' He did very well last night.
Live is a fantastic band in person. I have seen them in 3 different states and each performance was terrific. It actually was kinda cool last night to see Live, Blige, Prince and Meatloaf all in 'concert.' Talk about a strange group of people to bring together during a one hour stretch. |

Lets just say that nothing looks better on a man than tight suit pants. Nothing gets a woman more interested in a man than a guy that plays Prince on his boombox, wears tight pants (preferably purple) and has dancing moves that just won't quit!

The gayest moment though in the history of the show (and this is saying a lot) had to have been last night with Clay Aiken and the Clay Aiken wannabe singing an Elton John song about "The Sun Going Down On Me".
Intentional or not, WOW, that was VERY gay. |
