Went to the movies last night
Of course DaVinci code was sold out so we had no chance of seeing that. We decided to see the Sentinal instead, which was alright. It was decent, not great. Entertaining, but not overwhelming. It seemed a little slow... but then again, the last movie we saw was MI:III and that was everything BUT slow, so our perceptions might have been a little off on it.
Hopefully we can see DaVinci sometime in the next week. Having read the book I'm looking forward to seeing it, but since my wife hasn't read it, she's not as enthused...especially after the poor reviews. We'll see. |

The Sentinel was a bit dissapointing.
It was also too slow and VERY predictable. Being the 24-addict that I am, at this point in their careers watching Kiefer play 2nd fiddle to Michael Douglas seemed really out of whack. It was an OK movie.

I saw the Da Vinci Code this weekend....
I thought the movie was lame, and lacked the intellectual feeling of the book. Tom Hanks is grossly miscast, and the movie has changed substantially from the book.... I'd save your money.... |

However, Tom Hanks has worked well with most of what he has done in the past, so I'll look forward to seeing if he can hold his own in this one. |

I saw DaVinci Code Monday and thought that it was a decent movie.. It didn't quite have the punch of the book but I thought that Ron Howard did a decent job being faithful to the book and making the movie work at the same time. I think that a few more details from the book could have easily been worked in, though, and Howard could have done more with the action sequences. I wouldn't have gone with Tom Hanks as the lead. Someone like Russell Crowe would have made more sense in that role.
Audrey Tautou is hot, btw.
