He's from Britain and has a short name that starts with an "M". He was on Later with Jools Holland during the past couple years.

Battles was on Jools, but they are a NYC electronica group. Their disc is called "Mirrored."

Jools is awesome. the show, anyway. Not a huge fan of Squeeze.

No, this is just one guy, with a one word nickname. When Jools introduced him, he said that he was one of Elton John's favorite musicians. On the stage he had a couple of other guys working with him on the computers and such. Maybe his name doesn't start with "M".

You thinking of Moby? He is American though so maybe not, but he is more popular in the UK.

Rilo Kiley, yes. But they are a band, not a single guy, they are LA, not UK, and they are indie, not electronica. So basically that was no help to you.
