What if someone has no income, but is not a student? Does state welfare count as income?

Since Viper started doing my taxes, I have no income.
Everything flows through my Schedule D and E and I am operating at break even thanks to all my business losses.

I guess those making less than 45k are too busy mucking about in shameful poverty to speak up. Believe me, it's ok if you're poor. It doesn't mean you're not a man, just less of one.

I will admit that I am the one who makes less than 30K a year (but more than zero). That is just MY income though.
