"There's no way he/she beats me"
So who makes your list of famous marathon finishers?
Here's a list to choose from (taken from some triathlon blog and wikipedia): Quote:
I was a little disappointed to see Mario Lopez finishing in 5:41, until I saw that Ali Landry finished the same race at the same time. I suspect there may have been several dozen other male runners capable of running much faster that finished around 5:41:30 that day. |

As far as Mario Lopez is concerned, he was featured on the "I'm A Runner" page in Runner's World a few months back. He ran the '02 Boston with Ali Landry, and she kept stopping and starting. Apparently, they even stopped for lunch at one point. Ohhhhkaaay. Way to respect the most revered road race in the world, dude. |

I did a track workout yesterday afternoon and got to watch the university girls cross country team practice 100's. And then the lucky trainer who got to work their legs after practice. How do you get that job?
I'm doing afternoons from now on. The skin tight running shorts are the greatest running innovation of the last decade. |

Will Ferrell, Boston Marathon 2003 (3:56:12)
That is actually respectable for that year. It was 85 degrees at the start. |
