yeah, between Obama's weak statements on the Russian aggression, the advertising blitz from McCain, Obama's vacation, and his flop at the faith forum, his numbers have been tanking. But worse than his slide in the popular polling, is that the electoral projections are evening out, as well. Obama's losing his cushion.
He's got to up his game. He's gotta stop just waiting for McCain to attack and then half-heartedly defending himself. They say that championships are won on defense, which is well and fine, but the winning team still has to make a decent offensive play now and then. |

Next thing we're going to hear is Tex telling us how embarrassed he was that McCain pilfered Solzhenitsyn's story for the Faith interview. After that, we might even experience true dialog. We gotta stop that before it happens. Paddy boy, can't you step in to stop this madness.

Winds of change though: he's going to start hitting the trail hard with his newly crowned VP this weekend, and he's going to start airing tough ads about McCain in swing states. |

Back on topic, looks like things are trending McCains way. This was a much bleaker picture for Repubs just two weeks ago:
http://www.electoral-vote.com/ Three months out and after almost a year of Obama love from the media, it's this close and trending McCain's way. Obama is in danger in that it's hard to get back people that once thought of voting for you but now say they would not. They had their flirtation and it's difficult to regain that "lovin feeling."
