So i got really bored today and watched Gods Army 2
Let me just say that their is a such thing as having to much drama in a movie. I couldnt believe what could happen in about 7 days. For those of you that have seen it you know what i am talking about.
The funny thing is Dutcher was portraying mormons in a pretty good light until the one missionary gets in on with a porn star. Then they all kneel down in front of the live nativity scene and worship some random baby. Lets just say if you havent seen it, dont waste your time.

I've heard that this is supposed to be the best "Mormon movie" ever.
I trust you more than movie critics.

I really liked it. I do agree that Dutcher was trying way too hard to portray Mormons as being mainstream, but overall I thought he did an excellent job probing into questions of faith.

Exactly, and what was up with them worshipping the little baby at the end? I understand the representation behind it but i mean come on. Also the gangsta that gets baptized he was the reason they hit the guy with the car and broke his legs, and if it wasnt for him that guy woudl have never been killed, because they wouldnt have gone looking for him.

It did seem like Dutcher threw everything but the kitchen sink there at the end. I thought the overall message was a good one, but it was just all too much.

I agree too much drama, but I liked it a lot. Some of the scenes were very powerful. The last scene was overdone. The outrageous thing to me was the guy snuggling up to Jezebel in the last scene with his mom and mission president standing with him smiling. I thought the character development was great--the two elders, the girl, and the homeless guy were great characters.
