I will never be able to serve my country
http://blogs.jta.org/politics/articl...action-roundup
Because I have been critical of Israeli policy. My country will have no need for me. |

Looks like there were other reason people were uncomfortable with Freeman.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!! Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |

Yeah, criticizing Israel is harmless to a political career.
Idiot. |

And so it goes. Somehow supporting Israeli apartheid is in America's interest.
Oops, did I just call it apartheid? Crucify me. Oops, did I say "crucify"? Well, maybe drop some bombs on my house, sort of like you do in the West Bank. Oops, did I just say that Israelis drop bombs on houses in residential areas? ......... Just for good measure, I better throw in the word "Zionist". You know, the people that think the Palestinians deserve basically nothing, and the Jews get everything. They are building settlements right now. Fundamentally, Americans are scared of telling the truth. At least some are. |

I'm assuming you didn't read the whole Davis article. I'll help you out.

Zionists had nothing to do with him being thrown under the bus? Please. Where are the egregious statements he has made? I look at them and say 'yup, sounds about right.' Lanny Davis doesn't quote a single statement. America is the land of bullshit. We shit. We eat the shit. And we shit again. Over time, this shit is going to lose its nutritional value, I'm afraid. The worst crime you can commit in America is saying this: 'why are we eating shit?' Last edited by MikeWaters; 03-13-2009 at 01:18 PM. |

Here is the funniest part about all of this: if you are axed for not being pro-Israel, and you acknowledge this, then you are a crazy paranoid conspiracy-nut.
I mean, how far does the Zionist lobby have to go? Do they have to pretend that they don't exist? Do they have to pretend that they don't try to punish people that don't share their Zionist views? Apparently, yes. They would prefer to operate in the shadows and the dark. Why? Figure that one out for yourself. For those of you that are ignorant of the matter--let me explain that the word 'Zionist' is actually useful. It is used to distinguish those that support Israel at the expense of human rights and common decency. Not all Jews are Zionists. In fact, it may not be a majority. Not all Israelis are Zionists either. If and when Mormon (literal) Zionism arrives, I think there are many lessons to be learned from Israel, in terms of how NOT to go about it. |
